To the right is an interactive map showing some of the features included in a data enquiry. Please click on the features to find out more information about carrying out a search with us.

The Suffolk Biodiversity Information Service subscribes to the Standard Data Enquiry Service agreed across the East of England. More information on this can be found here.
One of the main benefits to the customer here is the agreement between neighbouring record centres to work together when standard data enquiries require data from two counties, so that the customer only gets charged once and only needs to deal with one LRC.
Please contact us for further information or to make a request.
In general, most commercial enquiries are covered by a standard search charge of £100 + VAT, typically requesting a set radius search of a grid reference or site boundary. For larger searches (e.g. route corridors or multiple sites) we will follow our hourly charging rates (set out on our charges page).
Charging is to cover the cost of our time in relation to both the actual data search but also as a reflection of the time put into collating, checking and processing raw data. Despite this we will, out of goodwill, operate a small search charge, typically £50 + VAT (for searches that produce very few results or for single species searches) and we do not charge if no records are found for a particular search.
