Orton Hall, Peterborough Timings TBC. This course, aimed around the Water Industry, will provide updates on European Protected Species legislation & policy, water vole legislation and the new EIA Directive. It will be delivered by Penny Simpson, Lead Partner for Environment at Freeths LLP.
The workshop style course will delve deeper into a number of changes regarding European Protected Species (EPS) including an update on EPS criminal offences interpretation, new Natural England policies, district licensing, low impact class licences and legal liability of ecologists. Further to this, additional updates on water vole legislation and the changes to EIA requirements will included. This training has been tailored to the water industry and topics, such as permitted development rights & emergency works will be discussed. There will also be the opportunity for ecologists working within or with water companies to share examples and case studies to further understand and overcome potential challenges we may face.
