Eastfeast outdoor projects underway

Eastfeast is working on projects in Ipswich, Saxmundham and Lowestoft. They are helping Coppleston High School to create a storytelling area with willow structures to ease transition from local primary schools, Britannia and Sidegate. They are working with 10 participants with mental needs and their carers to develop an allotment area at the Fromus Centre in Saxmundham. And they are helping Ormiston Denes Academy in Lowestoft to develop an alternative outdoor learning environment.


NEW - Suffolk Polecat Survey

The Polecat (Mustela putorius) was pushed to the brink of extinction over 100 years ago. Labeled as probably one of the most hated mammal species, the last survivors retreated to Wales and remote parts of Scotland. Surveys conducted by the Vincent Wildlife Trust (VWT) over the last 23 years however have noted the gradual return of the Polecat to its former ranges and the latest survey for 2014/15 shows a relatively strong presence in Suffolk.
