Poplar Leaf-rolling Weevil Byctiscus populi

The leaf-rolling weevil Byctiscus populi is a striking green or coppery-metallic beetle around 5mm in length. The female usually deposits one egg in a leaf roll of one, rarely two leaves that has been rolled into a tight cylinder. Image: Ingeborg van Leeuwen (Flickr).
