Zircon Reed Beetle Donacia aquatica

The Zircon Reed Beetle is between 6.86.9mm in length; the males are smaller than the females. The elytra have a broad longitudinal band of rainbow colours from green through to purple, with a central gold strip. Image: Udo Schmidt (Flickr)
